WHAT AYURVED SAYS ABOUT RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS?
In Ayurved Rheumatoid arthritis can be correlated with Amavata. Due to excessive exposure to etiological factors like intake of unwholesome food, unwholesome lifestyle practices, indulging in unctuous, high caloric and oily food etc. The body produces a lot of ama as a result of factors outlined above. Additionally the Vata dosha vitiation propels the already formed ama into other areas of body via circulation. The vata forces ama into the sites of Kapha , which are the muscles and bone joints.
Ama becomes further vitiated by Kapha and Vata, enters the bloodstream and is linked to morbid Pitta, giving the combo a corrosive quality. Every organ and tissue that comes into contact with the corrosive mixture likely to be destroyed. It becomes trapped in several joints, primarily pelvis, lower back and hips, where it causes stiffness and excruciating pain.
