Low blood pressure is a pressure that causes signs or signs of decreased blood flow to the arteries and veins. When the blood flow is very low, oxygen and nutritious substances do not reach the vital senses like brain, heart and kidneys, due to which these senses do not work normally and this can cause permanent damage. Unlike hypertension, low blood pressure is basically characterized by symptoms and signs, not specific pressure numbers. Some people have a blood pressure of 90/50 but they do not show any symptoms of low blood pressure and hence they do not have low blood pressure, however in people who have high blood pressure and if their blood pressure falls to 100/60 Symptoms of low blood pressure begin to appear.
If someone feels dizziness or nausea due to low blood pressure or falls unconscious while standing, it is called orthostatic hypertension. The normal person is able to control the effect caused by low pressure on standing. But when there is not enough blood supply in the cyclic artery due to adequate blood pressure then the person may have chest pain or a heart attack. When there is insufficient blood supply in the kidneys, kidneys cannot remove wastes like urea and creatine from the body, due to which their quantity in the blood is increased.
Types
“Normal” blood pressure is seen in a range rather than number, as it varies from person to person. Blood pressure that is low for one person may be normal for another. But if the blood pressure is less than 90 / 60mm then it is a symptom of severe disease. There can be many reasons for this such as
– Postural or orthostatic hypotension: This means a rapid decrease in blood pressure. This happens when you have been sitting for a long time and suddenly stand up and start doing something. Due to gravity, this situation is created by moving large amount of blood towards the feet.
Neurally-mediated hypotension: It is more common in children. This condition of blood pressure is formed when standing for a long time. When there is no communication between the heart and the brain, tension, pain, or fear are created.
Postprandial hypotension: It is a decrease in blood pressure just after meals. It usually occurs in adults. Digestion is a complex process that takes a lot of blood and energy. In some people, when blood flow increases for digestion, there is a decrease in blood going to the brain and other organs. Because of this, the blood pressure comes down rapidly.
Severe hypotension: This condition is created when someone gets a shock. This can be very fatal for life, as the amount of blood going to major organs decreases. This is also caused by excessive bleeding in the accident. Apart from this, due to severe infection, heart attack, allergic attack or anaphylaxis, this condition of law blood pressure is also formed.
Hypotension during pregnancy: This is a common disease, but too much law blood pressure can be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy. When the fetus stops in the fallopian tube or abdomen instead of the uterus, it is called ectopic pregnancy.
Hormonal disorder: It is also a cause of law blood pressure. Also, thyroid disorder, parathyroid dysfunction and law blood sugar (hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes) also cause law blood pressure.
Dehydration: This is another common cause of blood pressure. Lack of water in the body affects the blood supply to vital organs.
What are the symptoms of hypotension or low blood pressure?
When blood flow to the brain decreases, symptoms of hypotension are seen. Some of the common symptoms are:
- Dizziness,
- Feeling of syncope
- Lack of attention,
- Blurred eye,
- Nausea,
- Chills or yellowing of the skin,
- Unable to breathe deeply,
- Feeling tired,
- Feeling stressed
- Thirst
Some severe symptoms are often seen in patients with hypotension, such as syncope, hypo volume shock, and pulse fall.
Many symptoms of hypotension have not been reported above. If you have any problems or concerns about a symptom, please consult your doctor immediately.
What causes hypotension or low blood pressure?
There can be many reasons for hypotension, some of which are as follows-There is not enough fluid in your artery. This can happen when the blood in your body gets depleted or you are dehydrated. You can get dehydrated because of:
- If you do not drink enough water,
- If you have severe diarrhea or vomiting,
- You sweat more (for example, during exercise),
- Your heart does not pump properly,
- Your body’s veins and hormones that control blood vessels are not working properly.
In some patients, from hypotension problem Other problems may also occur, such as—
- Diabetes problem
- Parkinson’s disease,
- heart attack,
- Blood vessels broadening,
- Liver disease,
- People who are healthy may also have this problem. Older people are more likely to have hypotension than younger people.
- Low blood pressure is also common in pregnant women.
In some cases, blood pressure may drop suddenly. These cases may cause the following:
- Excess blood loss
- Low body temperature,
- High body temperature,
- Heart disease,
- Sepsis, a serious blood infection,
- Severe dehydration from vomiting, diarrhea or fever,
- With the reaction of drugs,

The ichthyoses are a group of skin disorders in which the skin’s ability to shed dead skin cells is impaired. They are a very heterogeneous group characterized by areas of dry, scaly, and thickened skin varying in severity. Redness and itching may also be present.
They can be inherited or acquired, and are further classified as syndromic vs non-syndromic. It can present on anybody location. Over 20 types of ichthyoses exist.
This rare group of skin disorders can affect any individual. Most forms of ichthyosis are Genetical i.e. acquired from the parents and appear at birth or during childhood, but some or less common forms develop in later life.
In rare cases, acquired ichthyosis can occur during childhood or adulthood and can be associated with drug adverse effects, HIV, malignancy, thyroid disease, nutritional disorders, sarcoidosis, autoimmune disease and lymphoproliferative disorders.
Causes of Itchthyosis
Genetically acquired types of ichthyosis results due to genetic mutations that alter the appearance and behavior of the keratinocytes in the stratum corneum i.e. skin cells present in the outer layer of the skin. This causes defects in the barrier function of the stratum corneum and results in inflammation and hyper proliferation which produce lichenified and scaly skin. The cause of acquired ichthyosis is currently unknown. This condition may result due to certain conditions such as kidney disease, hypothyroidism, HIV, certain cancers, and certain drugs.
What are the Symptoms of Itchthyosis?
1.Dry and cracked skin
2.Scaly skin (white, gray, brown)
3.Areas of thickened skin
4.Itchiness
5.Redness
6.Occasional pain
How much time does it persist?
Inherited ichthyosis will persist lifelong; however you can manage its symptoms by following a strict skincare routine. Acquired ichthyosis can improve and resolve with treatment of the underlying condition or discontinuation of the causative drug.
First-line Treatment-
1.Bathing: Long baths to facilitate scale removal are recommended.
2.Additives such as emollient oils and sodium bicarbonate can be used if desired.
3.Emollients and moisturizers: This will provide hydration and smooth the skin. Components include humectants (glycerin), occlusive (petroleum), emollients (cetyl alcohol), keratolytics (urea, salicylic acid, alpha-hydroxy acids) and other components.
4.Exfoliate skin using an exfoliating glove or sponge to remove scale
5.Use a humidifier to keep a moist atmosphere
6.Limit sun exposure, always apply sunscreen and wear sun-protective clothing & a hat.
Second-line therapy:
7.Oral retinoids: Vitamin A derivatives. They include etretinate (brand Tegison), isotretinoin (brands Accutane, Epuris, Clarus and others), and acitretin (brand Soriatane).
8.Vitamin D supplementation for severe forms of ichthyosis.
9.Antibiotics: These are only prescribed for secondary bacterial infections (when the skin has become infected due to multiple cracks and fissures).
10.Eye ointments or creams: Petrolatum ointment can be applied to the eyelid skin several times a day to help prevent tightening of the skin.
How is Ichthyosis diagnosed?
The diagnosis of ichthyosis is based on the review of the following:
1.Skin appearance: scale pattern, colour, quality and presence of a collodion membrane at birth, erythroderma and presence of erosions.
2.The time of onset and evolution over time
3.Family history
4.Histopathologic findings on skin biopsy
5.Associated cutaneous findings: blisters, hair abnormalities and photosensitivity
6.Presence or absence of extracutaneous findings
7.Genetic testing
Ichthyosis can be identified through visual examination of your skin. A biopsy of the affected area may be performed. Genetic testing and prenatal testing can be performed for X-linked ichthyosis (a type of inherited ichthyosis). If acquired ichthyosis is suspected your doctor may perform some blood tests and imaging (X-rays).
What else could this be?
1.Acrodermatitis enteropathica: A rare genetic disorder in which the person is unable to absorb zinc from the intestine.
2.Sarcoidosis: An inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in any part of the body.
3.Atopic dermatitis: A condition that makes your skin red and itchy.

In India, sickle cell is mainly found in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka and some northeastern states. Preliminary investigation of sickle cell gene in Chhattisgarh has revealed that it is spread in about 10 percent of Sickle Cell1 population of Chhattisgarh. However, in some cases it is seen as high as 30 percent. Despite this excessive proliferation of sickle cell genes, most people are unfamiliar with the scientific basis of this genetic disease acquired from parents. This situation generates serious social, mental and economic hardship along with medical burden for sickle cell patients and their families. The social stigma associated with the disease further exacerbates their suffering.
Sickle cell disease pathophysiology
Sickle cell disease / anemia Sickle cell disease is a genetic disorder arising from abnormal genes acquired from parents. Normal red blood cells (RBCs) are bifacial disc-shaped and flow easily into the blood vessels, but in sickle cell disease the red blood cells become crescent / sickle (sickle). These abnormal red blood cells (RBCs) are rigid and viscous and block blood flow to various organs. Blocked blood flow causes severe pain and damages various organs. Scientific research has found that the sickle cell gene provides partial protection against malaria and is commonly found in malarial regions. During biological development the sickle cell gene originated in African ancestors and also spread rapidly to other malarial regions due to its malaria resistant property. It is found in the Mediterranean Sea, Middle East and India apart from Africa. The disease has also been found in Europe, America and the Caribbean region. In India, it was found in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala.
Genetics
Red blood cells are formed in the bone marrow and have an average lifespan of 120 days. Sickle cell red blood cells have a lifespan of only 10–20 days and bone marrow cannot rapidly replace them in sufficient quantities. As a result, the normal number of red blood cells and hemoglobin in the body decreases. Changes in the size of red blood cells result from mutations in a nucleotide of the hemoglobin gene. This results in the synthesis of abnormal hemoglobin. Sickle cell trait is derived from a parent with a common gene, and an abnormal gene from another parent. They typically have no symptoms, but they provide the sickle hemoglobin gene to their offspring.
Event
There is no cure for sickle cell anemia. However, treatment of anemia can reduce the symptoms and complications of the patients. A limited number of people can be treated by blood marrow and stem cell transplantation. Sickle cell anemia varies from person to person. Some people have long-term pain or fatigue. However, improving the quality of health, proper care and treatment can improve the lives of patients. There are also many patients with sickle cell anemia who are living at the age of forty-fifth / fifties or more due to proper treatment and care.
Pathophysiology
Gene mutation causes the replacement of glutamic acid, the sixth amino acid of the β chain of the hemoglobin protein, by valine. Due to which the structure and functions of hemoglobin are changed and sickle cell disease develops. Because of this mutation, sickle hemoglobin has no apparent effect on secondary, tertiary, or quaternary structure in the event of normal levels of oxygen. But due to low availability of oxygen, sickle hemoglobin polymerizes and forms a long and rope-like structure. Because of this RBC (R.B.C.) resizes to be laughable. This perverted RBC Blocking the small blood vessels and damaging the structure of blood vessels and various organs, as well as causing pain and other symptoms of sickle cell disease.
Hemolysis and vaso-occlusive crisis occur mainly in sickle cell disease.
Then the probability of inheriting both normal genes in each child is 25%, one normal and one mutated 50% and both mutants.

- Sickle cell anemia is an inherited red blood cell or RBC disorder. This results in an abnormal hemoglobin term sickle hemoglobin or hemoglobin S present in its RBC. The disease occurs from birth, but it may take more than 4 months for infants to show any signs of becoming ill.
Treatment of sickle cell anemia
- The aim of treatment in this type of disease is to provide pain relief to the patient, seeing that infection is prevented with damage to organs and stroke. They also try to treat anemia and check for any complications.
Pain relief
- If the pain experienced by the patient occurs on a mild heating pad and over the counter, prescription medication is used. When the pain becomes severe, he may have to be admitted to a medical hospital. Fluid and pain relievers are used as measures to combat acute pain in the short term.
Pain prevention
- Severe cases of sickle cell anemia are treated with medication called hydroxyurea, which reduces painful crises. It helps prevent such pain attacks, but when such an attack occurs, it cannot get rid of it.
- Infection prevention
- Sickle cell anemia is usually found to be complicated by bacterial infection. But thankfully they can be stopped and treated. This should be urgently needed when dealing with such complications.
Prevention of complications
- Sickle cell anemia can cause many complications. These can include acute chest syndrome, gallstones, stroke, pulmonary hypertension, damage to the eyes and foot ulcers that refuse to heal. Even eye damage can occur.
- Blood transfusion is used when the anemia worsens or the complication becomes severe. Most patients with sickle cell anemia have to undergo blood transfusions on a periodic basis. If complications such as chronic chest syndrome or stroke are severe, it may require blood transfusions at intervals of one month to prevent any ongoing damage.
- Children’s head IEG examination should be done regularly to assess the eyes and assess the risk of stroke.
- New drug: New drugs are being researched for victims of sickle cell anemia. Some of these work by interfering with hemoglobin diseases. Other cells try to prevent them from sticking to the walls of blood vessels while other embryos increase hemoglobin levels.

Bipolar disorder

It is a type of mental illness in which the mind is either very sad or extremely happy for several weeks or months continuously. Negative in sadness and high thoughts come in the mind in mania. About one in 100 people get this disease at some time in their life. The disease often starts between 14 years-19 years. Both men and women are affected equally by this disease. This disease rarely starts after 40 years.
Forms of illness
Bipolar one: – In this type of disease, at least once in the patient, there is a period of excessive speed, excessive energy, excessive excitement and high talk. This type of phase lasts for about 3-6 months. Even if untreated, the patient can recover on its own. Another form of this type of disease can come in the form of sadness at any time. It is called depression when sadness lasts for more than two consecutive weeks.
Bipolar two: – In this type of disease, the patient has the effect of depression. Occasionally, a slight spurt may occur.
Rapid Cyclic: – In this type of disease, the patient suffers from depression or mania (fast) at least four times in a year.
Main causes of illness:
The main cause of this disease is difficult to accurately describe. Scientists understand that many times physical diseases can also increase sadness and speed in the mind. Sometimes extreme mental stress can trigger this disease.
Signs of illness
As mentioned above, there are two forms of this disease.
One form of depression: – It involves excessive sadness in the mind of the patient, anorexia at work, irritability, nervousness, self-aggression, despair about the future, lack of energy in the body, hatred of oneself, lack of sleep, sex desire. Lack, desire to cry in mind, lack of confidence remains constant. Thoughts of suicide keep coming in the mind. The patient’s ability to work is severely reduced. Sometimes the patient does not feel like going out. Does not feel like talking to anyone. When such sadness is more than two weeks, it should be considered as a disease and should be consulted.
Second form ‘mania’ or rapid calming in the mind: – In such a form, the symptoms of the patient are increased so many times that the patient’s relationship with reality is broken. The patient starts hearing noises in the ears without any reason. The patient considers himself very big. The patient keeps on running here and there due to excessive speed in the mind, sleep and appetite decreases.
Between the two forms: The patient often returns to normal after depression. Similarly, it becomes normal even after fasting (Mania). The patient may remain normal for a long time, for years and suddenly he may suffer from depression or rapid sickness.
What is the treatment for bipolar disorder?
There are different types of therapy to try and cure the treatment of bipolar disorder. It is so far the only therapy that has been successful in talking to the patient and diverting all his attention from negative thoughts, negative reactions, emotional reactions and behavior.
Mental education
Psychology is part of medical education. This type of therapy focuses on empowering the patient’s state of mind and it fills confidence in the patient. In this way his mental health increases and he begins to return to normal.
Family therapy
This therapy is a psychological practice. Attempts are made to resolve the differences by gathering the family members of the patient and the friends they want. This therapy lays new foundations between the family and the patient and enables the family to understand the issues of the patient.
Psychotherapy
It is a talk therapy that focuses specifically on the patient’s mental and behavioral disorders.
Ayurvedic view in bipolar disorder
Though there are recognizable elements of pitta in mania and of kapha in depression all mental health issues express at least some vata-aggravation.
Vata dosha manifests as movement, expansion, changeability, instability, coldness, subtlety, dryness, roughness and lightness.
Vata imbalances can manifest as insomnia, fear, changing thoughts and feelings, restlessness, weight loss, tremors, hopelessness and over-stimulation. All these symptoms are ruled by the qualities of air and ether: unstable, ungrounded with one’s head in the clouds, spaced out, and jumping out of one’s skin , high as a kite.
Doshas also rule the seasons and certain times of the day. Vata dosha happens to rule late summer and early autumn – which is happening right now! Staying grounded at this time of year is especially important to remedy vata-aggravation and to minimize like increasing like.

Children often wet beds at night. This problem occurring in children is also called Bed wetting. In this, the child automatically passes urine after sleeping at night. You don’t have to worry too much about it. This can happen if the child does not get toilet training properly. This is a normal part of the child’s development.
Bed Waiting is not a concern until the age of 7. By this age, your child may be learning to stop urination at night. If after this age you are having trouble wetting the bed at night, then you should understand this problem and treat it.
Causes of urination in bed
For various reasons, children urinate in bed at bedtime, such as:
- Your child’s bladder may not have developed enough to stop urination at night.
- If the veins that control the bladder are slowly maturing, the child does not open sleep when he urinates. This is especially so during deep sleep.
- Some children do not have enough urine-resistant hormones in the body to reduce urination at night in the child.
- A child may have difficulty stopping urination due to urethra infection.
- In sleep apnea, there is difficulty in breathing during sleep, in which urine can sometimes come out at bedtime.
- In addition, the child may wet the bed at night due to diabetes, chronic constipation, urinary tract or nervous system
- tructure.
Types of bed wetting
The problem of bed waiting can be divided into two parts, which are as follows:
Primary nocturnal enuresis: When a child has been bed wetting since childhood and continues even after the age of five, it is called primary bed waiting.
Secondary nocturnal enuresis: In this case the child stops wetting the bed for about six months, but then the problem starts again.
If you also wonder why your child wet the bed, the answer is in the next part of the article. First know the reason for primary bed waiting.
Due to primary bed waiting
Bedwetting in sleep is not a mischief or laziness of children, but there can be some reasons behind this problem, which are as follows:
Bladder problems: Some children have a very small bladder, due to which they are unable to control the high amount of urine. In such a situation, excessive intake of fluids can cause pressure on the bladder and can cause bleeding in children. In addition, some children also take time to learn to control their bladder.
Antidiuretic hormone: These hormones control urine in the body (4). Lack of these can often cause bed wetting in children.
Deep Sleep: Sometimes due to deep sleep, children do not feel bladder pressure and do not feel the need to go to the bathroom. This may also be one reason why children wet the bed.
After knowing the reasons for primary bed waiting, let us tell you what can be caused by secondary bed waiting.
Due to secondary bed waiting
The reasons for secondary bed waiting may be different due to secondary bed waiting,:
- Urinary tract infection
- diabetes
- Kidney problem
- Suffering from sleep apnea
- Due to constipation
- Due to pinworm
- Enlarged thyroid hormone
Bed wetting risk factors
The following risk factors may be behind the problem of bed waiting:
- If the child’s parents or both of them have been suffering from bed waiting problem.
- This problem is more common among boys than girls.
- This problem is more common in children between five and eight years of age.
- Weak economic conditions and living in rural areas.
- Suffering from emotional or psychological factors such as stress or depression.
- Any type of family problem.
- Just wetting the bed does not diagnose the problem of bed waiting. This requires medical checkup, which we are talking about in the next part of the article. Further know how bed weighting can be diagnosed.
Bed wetting diagnosis
The reason behind why your child wet the bed can be determined with the help of diagnosis. The following types of procedures are done for this:
Bladder Diary: In this you need to keep in mind how much water or other drinks your child consumes and how often he uses the bathroom. Apart from this, you also need to keep in mind how often the child wet the bed in a month. For the correct diagnosis, you will have to give this complete information related to the child to the doctor.
Urine test: Doctors can check your child’s urine. This test can detect bacteria or infections present in urine. The presence of white blood cells and bacteria in the urine can be a symptom of urinary tract infection.
Other scans: The doctor may also do some other scans of your child, such as ultrasound, MRI, urodynamic testing. With the help of these scans, any birth defects present in the child or any blockage in the urinary tract can be detected. These scans can determine the size of the bladder, weak muscles and muscle movements.
Bed wetting complications
Although, one does not face any serious physical complications due to bed wetting, but some of the problems mentioned below can definitely come in front of you:
Skin rashes: Due to being in contact with the wet bed overnight, there can be rashes in and around the baby’s genitals. This can also happen to children who sleep in diapers overnight.
Psychological complications: A child may feel embarrassed about wetting the bed again and again. This may cause a decrease in their self-esteem.
Lack of confidence: Due to inability to control urine, the smell of urine often starts coming from children. Because of this, they seem to lack confidence in getting up and sitting among the people.
Tips to prevent or prevent bed waiting problem.
To save your child from the problem of bed waiting, you can adopt the following preventive measures :
- Make it a habit for the child to go to the bathroom every two to three hours. Try to go to the bathroom at least four to seven times a day.
- Try not to consume too much beverages during the night, but rather get up and drink well from morning till 5 in the evening.
- Prevent children from drinking coffee, citrus juice and sports drinks. They can produce more urine in the body.
- If the child is suffering from constipation, get him treated soon.
- Apart from these preventive measures, some changes in lifestyle can also bring relief from the problem of bed waiting. We will discuss this issue in the next part of the article.
Lifestyle changes to prevent bedwetting in children
By making some changes in the lifestyle of children, you can solve their problem of bedwetting. These changes can be as follows:
- Have the child go to the bathroom before going to bed at night.
- Make him a habit of drinking soup before dinner instead of juice or some other drink.
- Let the child get into the habit of drinking a full glass of water at one go. Repeatedly drinking some water will put pressure on the bladder.
- According to the advice of the doctor, make a time table of how long after drinking water, the child has to send to the bathroom and do the same. In this way, the child will gradually start to understand how much time his bladder gets full and when he needs to urinate.
- Instead of scolding children, talk to them and explain to them that this is a problem from which relief can be found. Scolding can make a child nervous and take longer to recover.
- During the treatment, whenever the child does not wet the bed overnight, praise him. This will increase his confidence and the problem will be treated soon.

Angioedema is a type of dermatological condition that causes inflammation under the skin. This condition occurs in response to a drug or a foreign object that is allergic. The condition is usually not severe, but in some cases it may be a recurring condition in some patients due to complications of death.
Causes of angioedema
The exact cause of angioedema has not been discovered, but scientists have discovered that it may be due to several factors. Some commonly observed ones include:
Allergies and medications: Often this condition is the result of an allergic reaction. In such reactions the body’s immune system mistakes harmful substances for something harmful. As a result, it causes various reactions such as hiding, coughing and in this case swelling under the skin to hide certain chemicals within the body than the substance. Common allergens include foods such as nuts, eggs, and milk. In addition, insect stings, latex (in condoms) and certain types of drugs such as antibiotics and NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are used in this condition.
Unknown factors: In addition to the above, other factors such as prolonged severe anxiety and stress, extended risks of infection, hot and cold temperatures, and strenuous physical exercise may also be responsible for the condition.
Common symptoms include swelling of the hands, feet, eyes, and areas of the genitals. A person suffering from this condition may also have itchy rash in the form of hive, which is an associated symptom. If you come across such symptoms then you should not delay the visit to the general practitioner.
Diagnosis and treatment
Knowing the cause of angioedema and its symptoms is important for treatment. There is no test that will indicate the exact cause of the disease. Some tests and exam doctors usually suggest
Assessing your symptoms and medical history
Tests for allergies and blood tests
Upon diagnosis and careful evaluation, your doctor may suggest antihistamines, steroid medications, and adrenaline auto-injectors. You should consult a general practitioner if you face suspicion of angioedema or are entertained. After the relevant diagnosis the doctor will direct you to a dermatologist if necessary.
